Mrs. Carmel Parenteau (née Boudreault), wife of Lucien Parenteau of Digby, Nova Scotia, passed away on July 2, 2019 at the age of 77. From a family of 16 children, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles-Eugène Boudreault, from St-Gédéon, Quebec, were dedicated Social Crediters. Several of her sisters are in the Social Credit fold, including Mrs. Adrienne O’Donnell of Ontario and Mrs. Alfred Boudreault of Lac St-Jean, Quebec.
Widowed in 1974 with 4 children from a first marriage to Mr. Wilbrod Laforest, Carmel homeschooled her children. Her Chicoutimi home hosted the monthly meetings of the Pilgrims of St. Michael in the region. In the 1980s, she married Lucien Parenteau, a Social Crediter from Western Canada. The family moved to British Columbia and then to Peace River, Alberta. She had two children from this union, including Lucie Parenteau who was a full-time Pilgrim in Rougemont, Quebec for 13 years. In more recent years, the couple moved to Digby, Nova Scotia. A big thank you to Mrs. Parenteau for raising your family in the Catholic faith and in accordance with the principles of Social Credit. Dear apostle of MICHAEL, it is only a brief goodbye. We will meet again in the heavenly homeland one day.
