A tenacious and generous Social Crediter

Our devoted Social Crediter of Vancouver, B.C., Mr. Albert Gendreau, died last October 27, at the age of 83. He was a Social Crediter since the beginning of our Movement, and he remained loyal until his death. He was waiting with joy for the visit of our two great Pilgrims, Yvon Nantel and Jacek Morawa, who were touring Western Canada. When they arrived at his place, he had just passed away. They attended the funeral, and Mrs. Gendreau gave them an envelope that her husband had prepared, with $500.

Mr. Gendreau was born in Rimouski, Que., where he came across our journal, and he immediately became its ardent apostle, soliciting subscriptions to it. He lived for a few years in Australia, then settled for good in Vancouver, where he continued his apostolate work for us. Mrs. Gendreau supported him in all of his activities, and she received, with much charity and kindness, our Pilgrims who were in the area. The departure of Mr. Gendreau is a great loss for our Movement. He was a worthy, sincere, generous, and tenacious man. From Heaven, he will certainly raise new apostles in Vancouver to replace him. As for him, the hour of eternal bliss has come. Our Faith gives us this firm hope.
