The trouble I think with most people who see that things are wrong is that they become obsessed with the symptoms of the disease instead of concentrating on eliminating the cause. To me it seems clear that the fundamental cause is the inversion of truth arising from the failure of people to study and perceive realities. Thus they are misled in supposing that the word is more important than the deed, the symbol than the reality, and they become victims of a subtle philosophy that uses rewards and punishments as its main motive power, thus flouting Christian teaching and commonsense. The exhortation to 'judge not' is usually ignored and most people enjoy and spend much of their time in passing judgemet on others. This leads them further away from truth until they become hypnotized with the currently accepted philosophy that if a man will not work, neither shall he eat.
