On Nov. 21, 2014, Pope Francis sent a video message to the participants of the 4th Festival of the Social Doctrine of the Church, held in Verona, In that message, the Holy Father denounced the present economic system that makes us all the slaves of money:
"Today, in the field of economics, there is an urgent need to take the initiative, because the system tends to homogenize everything and money becomes its master. The system that brings you to this globalization is not good, it approves everything. And who is the master of this approval? It's money. Taking the initiative in this field means having the courage not to allow ourselves to be imprisoned by money and short-term results, and then become the slaves of money.
"We need a new way of seeing things! Let me give an example. Today it is said that many things can not be done because there is no money. Yet there is always money to do some things, and money is missing to make other things. For example, money to buy weapons, to make war, financial operations without scruples, is always available, there is always money for these things. There is mainly silence about this. Yet, there is always an emphasis on the lack of money to create jobs, to invest in knowledge, talents, to design a new welfare, to protect the envrionment... Money alone does not create growth; to create development, we need people who have the courage to take the initiative."

Every 4th Sunday of every month, a monthly meeting is held in Rougemont.
In this special issue of the journal, MICHAEL, the reader will discover who are the true rulers of the world. We discuss that the current monetary system is a mechanism to control populations. The reader will come to understand that "crises" are created and that when governments attempt to get out of the grip of financial tyranny wars are waged.
An Efficient Financial System, written by Louis Even, is for the reader who has some understanding of the Douglas Social Credit monetary reform principles. Technical aspects and applications are discussed in short chapters dedicated to the three propositions, how equilibrium between prices and purchasing power can be achieved, the financing of private and public production, how a Social Dividend would be financed, and, finally, what would become of taxes under a Douglas Social Credit economy. Study this publication to better grasp the practical application of Douglas' work.
