The Litany of Saint Joseph enumerates, in the form of a long series of invocations, all the religious qualities, the glorious titles, the virtues and the various patronages exercised by the Patron Saint of the Catholic Church. It was officially approved by the Vatican through an apostolic decree from Pope Saint Pius X in 1909. During the Year of Saint Joseph, which lasts from December 8, 2020 to December 8, 2021—the use of the Litany of Saint Joseph has been enriched with a plenary indulgence, which may be earned once a day. When this litany is prayed in public, the congregation responds to a leader with the words in italics.

Amen.
