God has been banned from the UN Charter

It is no surprise that the UN has become a Tower of Babel

In 1945, the 52 nations that gathered to create the United Nations Organization agreed that "the name of God must be banished from the proceedings and the context of the UN Charter." So we should not be surprised that, in 2002, we are on the verge of an atheistic world government that will require us to deny our Christian Faith, to accept the promotion of vice and contempt for Christian virtues. The following text is taken from a homily of Reverend Father Pelletier, a Dominican, given on the feast of Christ the King in 1961.

by Father Pelletier, O.P.

Christ is our supreme King, before and infinitely above everyone else, with an incontestable, transcendent, and imperishable supremacy. No one can rob Him of His sovereignty: He has inherited it from His Heavenly Father, and moreover, He has won it by His Redemption. No power can remove Him from His throne: He is Power itself, the Almighty who has the power of life and death over all creatures: the power to command, the power to rule, the power to legislate, the power to judge, the power to reward and to chastise.

All the material and spiritual cosmos has been created by Him and for Him. All the created beings live by Him and for Him. Just one lack of attention from Him, if it was possible, would be sufficient to wipe out at one go, in no time, the whole universe, including all the billions of stars and planets, which is something that could not be done with the most fantastic super-bomb invented by the greatest human genius.

"Who is like unto God?" Saint Michael the Archangel exclaimed in his battle against the rebellious angels. "Who can compare himself to Christ the King?" must exclaim today the Catholics of the whole world in reply to the challenge of the godless ones. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life!

That is why Christ must reign within us, over us, and through each of us: it is His right...

Only the establishment of the reign of Christ over the different sectors of society can guarantee its salvation, from the material and spiritual viewpoint as well as the temporal and supernatural field. The events that are taking place today in the whole world show us that there is no possible salvation for individuals, families, nations, countries, continents, governments, subjects, without the personal intervention of Christ the King, and without taking notice of the moral requirements that His reign implies. Otherwise, it is for sure a complete and final fiasco that the near future has in store for us...

It seems, presently, to the most perceptive minds, that we are now living in the apocalyptic times that mark the end of the world: these most clear-minded geniuses have the impression that the Supreme Master, about whom we care less and less, has left, so to speak, mankind at the mercy of the godless Communists out of revenge for the betrayal of His people — as in the past, God has left the Hebrew people, His chosen people who became unfaithful — at the mercy of their enemies as a means to correct them.

A world in mortal sin

In 1945, to replace the late Society of Nations, an American President took the initiative of founding a new international society whose aim would be to establish and keep the peace in the world. Fifty-two countries, Canada included, decided to take part in it, and sent their respective delegates to San Francisco to found what is now called the U.N.O. Note: the United Nations Organization.

But at the instigation of godless Russia (then ruled by the Communists) who had already fooled the Allies at Yalta and Postdam; at the instigation of godless Russia who was tyrannical and cynical enough to chase God out of the heart and mind of her nationals, of families and homes; who was already ruling by threat, terror, and persecution; who was emptying tabernacles, taking crucifixes down, knocking steeples down, closing churches, forbidding any practice of religion, putting in jail or crucifying the ministers of God; at the instigation of godless Russia who was already destroying furiously all that could express the existence of God; the other countries, represented at San Francisco by their delegates, agreed that the name of God must be banished from the proceedings and the context of the UN Charter; the United Nations intended, mark you, to stabilize peace between nations all over the earth.

More than that, godless Russia got the privilege of vetoing, which allowed it to keep the other signatory countries in its trap and hands, as the events were to prove later.

For the other nations, it was not only an incredibly fantastic error of judgment, an unspeakable folly, but it was also a monstrous crime of general and official apostasy, since it just meant a definite rejection of God. Nobody protested at that time except the head of the Catholic Church who realized that it was the height of aberration, blindness, and at the same time, the most odious infamy, the crime of divine lese-majesty.

Since the citizens of a country necessarily stand by their Head of State; since it is they who brought him to power and made him their representative, it rigorously follows that they positively become guilty and responsible for the crime of their leader if they do not repudiate him publicly.

The number of countries in the United Nations has risen from 52 to about a hundred (191 in 2002), but no protest has yet come to repudiate the crime of apostasy committed by the founders of the U.N.O. The result, which is a known fact and an irrefutable reality: the whole world is now in a state of mortal sin, in a state of rupture with God, since it has denied Him.

The consequences

Then, should we wonder why God has withdrawn and left governments to their own judgments, and in their aberration? Should we wonder why the United Nations Organization has become a super "Tower of Babel", which shows the greatest confusion of languages and the most burlesque comedy? Should we wonder that the U.N.O. has achieved only trivial results since its foundation, results that are short-lived and illusive by the way, despite countless numbers of diplomats, politicians, economists, and sociologists chosen for their greatest qualities, and despite the huge sums consecrated to keep the peace? Should we wonder that godless Russia carries there a lot of weight, while exploding its super-bombs to strike fear into the whole world, and thus continues its conquests, thanks to the cold war?

What we should fear more than ever today is not so much the super-bomb that the present leader of the godless ones is threatening us with to impose his fanciful hegemony as the justice of the Supreme King, whose avenging arm will not spare any of His treacherous disciples who deny Him in practice, in their private and public lives, and who, by their secret or well-known apostasy, favour the victory of he who wanted to compare himself to God, and who made himself the leader of the godless ones.

The prince of this world, according to the words used by Jesus, and under his true name, Lucifer, who has not yet given up his ambitious plan to usurp the supremacy of Christ the King, has legions of hellhounds at his disposal for his enterprise. And among this phalanx of hellhounds of the leader of the godless ones, the most dangerous and harmful ones are not, in my opinion, those who publicly show that they are godless people. Are not the lukewarm, the indifferent, the non-practicing, the Catholics in name only, the treacherous, the crooks, the sham Catholics with a double conscience and a double life, the shameless exploiters of the masses, doing more the work of Satan, and undermining, all the more, the reign of Christ? It is He who said it: "No one can serve two masters." No one can display a neutral attitude.

Then, to conclude, if ever some superbomb was to wipe out humanity from the surface of the earth through a permission of God, would it not be above all the softness, the cowardliness, the betrayal of the false disciples of Christ the King that would have provoked it?

Where is hope? But, fortunately, all is not immediately lost yet. There is still hope for peace and salvation for the peoples and nations who profess faith in Christ, for there is still a solution.

"Desperate ills demand desperate measures," it is said. Well, the only way to remedy the eminently grave situation of the present world is for the so-called Christian nations to unite in a solemn act of proclamation of the universal kingship of Christ, and enroll under His banner for the defence of His rights and His doctrine.

We must absolutely set Christ against the godless ones by putting into practice His evangelic message, especially justice and Christian charity. If all the Christians, especially the Catholics, united with their Supreme Leader, they would constitute a tremendous and invulnerable strength against which would crumble the presumed power of the idol with feet of clay, namely, godless Russia and her satellites.
