The Seven Sorrows and Seven Joys of St. Joseph

Saint Joseph

(To be recited on the first Wednesday of each month)

The chaplet to St. Joseph is composed of seven mysteries in which we contemplate the seven sorrows and seven joys
that St. Joseph experienced while living on earth.

In a message to Edson Glauber of Itapiranga, Brasil, St. Joseph stressed the importance and power of this chaplet:

“Tell your brothers to pray the chaplet of my seven sorrows and seven joys because I wish to be their intercessor in their greatest difficulties. If you only knew how many graces God allows me to give you, you would not close your hearts and you would never stop praying this chaplet, so powerful.” (St. Joseph 12/5/2007 Palermo, Franciacorta, Italy.)

“The chaplet of the seven sorrows and seven joys of St. Joseph has to be recited with the prayer “Hail Joseph”, so that we will benefit through his intercession, invoking his most holy and powerful name, a name that makes all of hell tremble, and the demons flee.” (Jesus to Edson, 11/27/1997 Itapiranga, Brasil)

How to recite the St. Joseph Chaplet

For each mystery we pray: one Our Father, ten Hail Josephs…, and one Glory be.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

The Most Chaste Heart of Saint JosephOur Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

We honor you Saint Joseph
and your Most Chaste Heart,
chosen by God the Father,
to be the foster-father of Jesus
and the Protector of the Holy Church.

Hail Joseph, Son of David, the just and the chaste, wisdom is with you; Blessed are you among all men and blessed is Jesus, the fruit of Mary, your faithful spouse.

Holy Joseph, worthy foster-father and guardian of Jesus Christ and of the holy Church, pray for us sinners and obtain divine Wisdom for us from God, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

We honor you St. Joseph
and your Most Chaste Heart,
chosen and loved by God the son
to be His foster father,
whom he obeyed and respected in his earthly life.

Hail Joseph, son of David...

We honor you St. Joseph
and your Most Chaste Heart,
chosen by the Holy Spirit
to be the just, chaste holy spouse
of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Hail Joseph, son of David...

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you, save souls!

Most Chaste Heart of St. Joseph, be the guardian of our family!

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

    To whom it may concern,
My name is Fr. Stephen Arabadjis.  I am a member of the Society of St. Pius X.  But I am in my 7th year of Sabbatical. Therefore I was hoping your group could do a 54 day rosary novena for my intentions.  But any prayers and sacrifices would be greatly appreciated.  I know Our Lady will reward you generously for this.
    In Our Lady,
    Fr. Arabadjis
P.S. Thanking you in advance, since I don't always get all my communications.
