A Prophetic Message for the United States

This past January, on the occasion of the March for Life in Washington, DC, our nation witnessed what may be the beginning of an unfolding of the promises made by Our Lady of America to Sr. Mary Ephrem (Mildred Neuzil), a nun in a Fostoria, Ohio convent in the 1950’s. Her promise was that the United States of America

“would lead the world to peace”.

The prophetic words of Our Lady indicate a very specific mission,

“America, the United States in particular, is being given the tremendous, yet privileged, opportunity to lead all nations in a spiritual renewal never before so necessary, so important, so vital.”

Sr. Mary Ephram continued in her diary,

I was afraid that the burden of leadership would be too great for the United States without some special help from heaven. Our Lady assured me that Michael and the whole army of Blessed Spirits will give their assistance at all times. As the Queen of Angels she has loving command over them and they accomplish whatever she wishes. This made me feel better and the fears that I had left me… It is evident that the forces of evil are enveloping the world. Their hatred, however, is now particularly focused on the United States because of the Divine Mandate given to it to lead the world to peace.

In her subsequent apparitions to Sr. Neuzil, Our Blessed Mother’s messages are somber and urgent. “I come to you, children of America, as a last resort…” And speaking sternly about the future of the United States,

“My children in America…unless [you] do penance by mortification and self-denial and reform [your] lives, God will visit [you] with punishments as yet unknown.”

Today, the United States, under President Trump, is leading the world in opposing the evils of not only abortion, but the entire anti-God, global agenda of a One World Order.

This year marked the first time in the history of the March for Life that the country’s leader stood with those gathered in Washington, DC to show his support for the most basic and fundamental, but at the same time, the most threatened right of humanity: the RIGHT TO LIFE. The greatest supporters of this God-given right are the YOUTH of America who came together at the March to defend the lives of the innocent human beings in their mothers’ wombs who are victims of the terrible sins rampant in our nation: impurity, injustice and selfishness. The President remarked to the ‘tens of thousands of high school and college students’ present that

“it’s your generation that is making America the pro-family, pro-life nation!”

The climax of the day was the March itself. As the throngs began slowly moving up Constitution Avenue in Washington, many prayed aloud, some silently, some chanted or sang hymns. Groups recited the Rosary or the chaplet of Divine Mercy while carrying banners proclaiming that LIFE is a gift from Almighty God. It was as though one HUGE procession of the Faith of this nation had been organized in order to be God’s witnesses to the world. President Trump’s profound message reverberated:

“Every human soul is divine and every human life, born and unborn, is made in the holy image of Almighty God”.

Sr. Neuzil wrote,

“Our Lady gave me to understand that… it is they [the youth] who are to be the leaders of this movement of renewal on the face of the earth. Their ranks will be swelled by the youths of other nations whom Our Lady also calls to help in the accomplishment of this great renewal. It is to the youth of America that she is holding out this challenge.”

Pray for our President.

“Pray without ceasing; …for this is God’s will” (Thess. 5:17-18),

that he will be blessed, and continue with courage to lead America back to its Christian roots. In the history of mankind, whenever a leader has taken a stand for what is good — when he stands with his people for what is true — when he humbles himself before his Creator — God blesses him and miracles happen that change the course of history. As was seen in the conversion of Constantine by the prayers of his mother, St. Helena, the Church was recognized and Catholicism flourished. Another example was King Clovis, who converted through the prayers of his good wife, St. Clotilda. He became the first Catholic king of France, enacting laws to protect the family based on the Ten Commandments. These laws remained intact for centuries throughout Europe, and influenced even our laws in America.

“I am Our Lady of America, I desire that my children honor me, especially by the purity of their lives… I wish it to be the country dedicated to my purity… I desire, through my children of America, to further the cause of faith and purity among peoples and nations… I desire to make the whole of America my shrine by making every heart accessible to the love of my Son.”

Today, the threat of the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), has people all over the world “confined” to their homes observing the required “social distancing”, and we realize that we face a new enemy, albeit an invisible one. Our nation’s economy, as well as the economies of countries throughout the world, have come to a screeching halt. Even our churches are closed, and public worship deemed non-essential. Most dioceses are not permitting the reception of the Sacraments, including Confession and/or the Anointing of the Sick. We might ask ourselves, “What is this great darkness that has come over our land?”

Our Holy Father, Pope Francis, gave an Apostolic Blessing, Urbi et Orbi, to the entire world on 27 March 2020, stating in his homily:

“The storm [Covid-19] exposes our vulnerability and uncovers those false and superfluous certainties around which we have constructed our daily schedules, our projects, our habits and priorities… In this storm, the façade of those stereotypes…has fallen away, uncovering…our belonging as brothers and sisters…our common humanity…we have all gone ahead at breakneck speed, ignoring the wars, injustice, and cries of the poor… We carried on regardless, thinking we would stay healthy in a world that was sick…

In our stormy sea, we now cry out: ‘Wake up, Lord!’ — Lord, you are calling to us, calling us to faith. Which is not so much believing that you exist, but coming to you and trusting in you… Your call reverberates urgently: ‘Be converted! — Return to me with all your heart’ (Joel 2:12). You are calling on us to seize this time of trial as a time of choosing. It is not the time of your judgement, but of our judgement: a time to choose what matters and what passes away, a time to separate what is necessary from what is not. It is a time to get our lives back on track with regard to you, Lord, and to others.”

“Be my army of chaste soldiers,”

Our Lady told Sr. Mildred,

“ready to fight to death to preserve the purity of your souls… It is the United States that is to lead the world to peace, the peace of Christ, the peace that He brought with Him from heaven in His birth as man in the little town of Bethlehem…”

It is very interesting, and no coincidence, that the word corona means “crown” in Latin and that in many Latin countries the word corona is used when speaking of the Rosary. Our Blessed Mother said to the people of the United States through Sr. Mildred,

“Make the Rosary a family prayer... Those found in the circle of my Rosary will never be lost.”

Let us pray that this time of quarantine not be wasted (even though it may not be entirely voluntary); that it is a time for us to “get our lives back on track with regard to [the] Lord, and to others”; that families rediscover the absolute bond that comes from praying together. May we all come to experience the true joy that comes from sincere Christian relationships with our neighbors, no longer “ignoring the wars, injustice, and cries of the poor”. Our Blessed Mother said to Sr. Neuzil:

“Let America continue and grow in its love for me, and I in return…, promise to work wonders in her.”

The messages of Our Lady of America to Sr. Mildred Neuzil have received the approval of the Archbishop of Cincinnati, the late Paul Leibold, who was Sr. Neuzil’s spiritual director.
